Tiny Playhouse Project in the Pass Pauses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New South Players’ Guild Returns to Hiatus

South Mississippi · USA: The past couple of years, COVID-19 has made event planning very tricky if not impossible. And now, we are confronted with an Omicron variant, purportedly, more easily spread. In the better interest of personal and public safety, our health, wellness, and well-being, High Tea & Chutzpah is postponed until further notice. The Guild apologies for any inconvenience.

Thank you to Pass Christian Books/Cat Island Coffeehouse, Robin’s Nest in the Pass/Roberts Place Café, The J.W. Randolph Educational and Cultural Heritage Council (JWRECHC), Wendy Allard and Friends of the Pass Christian Library, Oak Crest Mansion Inn, and The Mississippi Gulf Coast Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Without as much unconditional support, Creative Placemaking in the Pass (CPitP) simply would not be replete with the manifold and multilayered possibilities that this tiny playhouse project promised to demonstrate the four-day duration.

The Guild will be back.

In the interim, may we continue espousing Theater of the Sublime as a new model both paradigmatic and as something more hopeful and ultimately as a phenomenon ubiquitously American.
